"The moving bridge, which was commissioned in 2009, is the second youngest bridge in Dublin. Rotating horizontally through 90 degrees, crossing the river at right angles and with a span of 123 metres. The bridge takes the name of Samuel Beckett, a Dublin native who won a Nobel Prize in literature.
